According to data shared by Santiment, a blockchain analysis platform, on Tuesday, approximately 224410 Ethereum (ETH) coins were transferred out of exchanges within 24 hours from February 8th to 9th, with a value of approximately $604.8 million. This is the highest net token outflow from known exchange wallets in a single day since March 10th, 2023.
Santiment commented on this:
Although this is more of a long-term indicator, it is a strong signal for the sluggish price of Ethereum. When assets are withdrawn from the exchange, it is usually a signal of investor confidence that they are willing to hold for the long term. The number of coins available for sale in the market continues to decrease, which also means that the possibility of large-scale selling in the future is reduced
However, Santiment believes that Ethereum's performance this year will still largely depend on whether Bitcoin can stabilize and attempt to return to historical highs.
