Renowned artist Kanye West posted on social media today that he was once proposed $2 million to promote a scam project, but he chose to refuse and stopped collaborating with relevant individuals.
According to the screenshot he shared, the proposal requires Kanye West to post a meme tweet promoting the counterfeit "Ye" brand on X and maintain it for at least 8 hours to attract public investment. In return, he will receive a prepayment of $750000 and an additional $1.25 million after 16 hours. The plan also specifically states that, Kanye West Afterwards, a statement can be issued stating that 'my account was hacked, and this post was not posted by me', in order to clear responsibility.
Kanye West emphasized in his post that he refused to participate in this scam and terminated his cooperation with relevant parties. This incident once again highlights the risk of celebrity endorsement fraud, as many criminals attempt to manipulate the market and deceive investors by using the influence of public figures. At the same time, it inevitably raises doubts whether the celebrities and KOLs who claimed their accounts were hacked or silently deleted articles containing token contracts in the past were also participants in such plans?
